Floating Caravan Spotted At The 2017 RNLI Raft Race
This weekend saw another successful RNLI Raft Race in Minehead, an event where teams come together to paddle rafts from the beach across the waves to the harbour, all to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. The atmosphere on the day was as incredible as ever, with a wide range of crazy rafts and the ever-present support from the spectators.
Having successfully paddled a WWE Wresting Ring in the 2016 RNLI Raft Race, we decided to go back to our roots and built another Caravan-Raft… partly because there is nothing funnier than seeing a caravan floating in the sea! The judges seemed to agree as well and we were awarded the ‘Most Original Raft’ on the day for our ‘Caravan At Sea’ concept (and were given a trophy which is now sitting on Tony’s desk in the office).
Thank You To Our Sponsors
From the team at Autohaus, we’d like to say a huge thank you to our sponsors who have been very generous in their donations. In 2016 we managed to raise £2,900, the largest amount of any team. However this year we have totally smashed that and raised £4,400!
So a huge thank you to all our sponsors for their continued support. You can see a list of these wonderful people below.

Next year the Happy Campers team will be back with another raft design.
