Autohaus Rock & Roll Bed Passes STATUS Safety Test
Autohaus will be able to enhance their range of T5 campervan conversions now that their Rock & Roll seat-bed system has passed safety testing.
Autohaus’ version of the popular Rock & Roll seat-bed has been painstakingly developed over the last 12 months and the Specialist Transport Advisory & Testing Utility Society (STATUS) were satisfied it passes all safety requirements.
The Rock & Roll system looks set to revolutionise the T5 campervan conversions at Autohaus as they are a massive improvement on traditional campervan seat-bed systems.
Firstly, they are more comfortable.
Traditional seat-bed systems don’t allow for a fantastic night’s sleep in a T5 campervan. This, considering the primary function of a seat-bed, is a major oversight!
Secondly, their Rock & Roll seat-bed is easy to use.
Just remove the head rests, slide the lever and the seat folds into a bed. To restore it to a seat just pull the strap and the bed slides up and locks back into the seat position. It’s as simple as that.
Finally, and most importantly, the Autohaus Rock & Roll seat-bed is incredibly safe.
The seat-bed is manufactured from very strong, sturdy steel. It is powder coated and comes with two three-point seat belt mounting points.
Furthermore, the Rock & Roll seat-bed has high quality fire retardant upholstery and it is mounted to the floor by nine steel fixings with reinforcing plates.
STATUS testing confirmed that the Autohaus Rock & Roll bed system satisfied the strength and anchorage positional requirements of EC Directive 76/115/EEC as amended by 2005/41/EC & ECE Regulation 1`4.07 for M1 loading when mounted on a rigid steel frame.
